There is still a way to access gcc via SVN (but read-only)

gcc - fortran mailing list
Hi,

for those who completely despair of git: There is still a way
to access the repository via SVN, via github, but it is read-only.

To do this, chose a suitable directory, and do

$ svn co --depth empty https://github.com/gcc-mirror/gcc.git Gcc

then change into Gcc, and do

$ svn up trunk

This will give you a current trunk, which you can then use
to develop patches etc. Comitting them still has to be done
via git.

I hope this may help somewhat :-)

Regards
