Cygwin binaries - a resumption of normal service

THOMAS Paul Richard 169137
I have just re-started the provision of Cygwin binaries.  I uploaded the
i686 version a few minutes ago and hope to do the same for the Athlon
version later today.

Please note that in order to overcome some of the problems encountered with
machines that lack a D: drive, I have installed to /snap

The installation is a hybrid - in order to side-step the gcc bootstrap
problems, I have built the cvs gfortran, using the gcc of 20050522.  This
has the disadvantage that vect_5.f90 is still failing but the
counterbalancing advantage that my CVS tree remains pristine(I use softlinks
to cvs from the older gcc).

Please read gfortran-Cygwin.note.

Just as a note: with CVS, we still have the following testcase
problems on x86_64:

XPASS: gfortran.dg/vect/vect-5.f90  -O  scan-tree-dump-times
vectorized 2 loops 1
XPASS: gfortran.dg/vect/vect-5.f90  -O  scan-tree-dump-times Alignment
of access forced using peeling 1
XPASS: gfortran.dg/vect/vect-5.f90  -O  scan-tree-dump-times
Vectorizing an unaligned access 2

So I gathered.

I was quite pleased that the problems with this hybrid were so few.  The
Athlon version is cooking as I write.

Thanks
